14 days of the full app. After that, full access for projects up to 20 clips. No account, no cloud.
Built in Ukraine. By an editor, for editors. After that you can do nothing at all.
The app lays the material out on the timeline, and whatever had nothing to sync with goes honestly to the end.
The real app screen. 215 files · 8 cameras and a recorder · 8.9 h of footage
Made for one thing: so a shooting day lands on the timeline by itself and you start editing right away.
Cameras and recorder land by sound. Timecode is not required, and when it is there the sync leans on it too.
Drop in the folders from every device and the whole day lays out at once: hundreds of files, dozens of hours.
A separate review count and a filter: only what is worth a look lights up. The rest stands exactly.
Every channel on its own track, labelled. The mix and the raw channels never get confused.
Two days or two locations land as separate blocks, not as one long day.
Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro. A track per camera, track order the way you set it.
Whatever had nothing to sync with lands at the end in shooting order instead of getting lost.
218 of 218 clips in frame against a manual sync. 215 files and 8.9 hours of footage in 29 seconds on a Mac with Apple Silicon.
Files are only read, nothing is uploaded. macOS and Windows, offline activation, no account.
14 days of the full app, no card and no account.
Yes. CamHeard is a macOS and Windows app of the same class: it aligns every camera to the recorder by sound, is frame-accurate, works fully offline and is bought once.
When timecode is there, the sync leans on it and comes out most accurate. When it is not, CamHeard syncs by sound, which is exactly what it was built for, including reverberant venues and different microphones.
Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve (FCP7 XML), Final Cut Pro (FCPXML). CamHeard writes a separate file for each editor, so the tracks land the way that editor expects.
CamHeard is a paid app: a licence for life is $249 (1 machine), or a subscription at $15 a month or $144 a year. Every download starts with 14 days of the full app, and after that projects up to 20 clips keep working without a licence.
Studio for three machines is $599 for life. Need more machines? Write to us.
No. Everything runs locally on your own computer; video and audio never leave it. Your files are not changed either: CamHeard only listens to them and syncs them.
Because there was nothing to sync it with. Most often that is files without sound, b-roll, cutaways and pickups, material shot on its own. It is normal and does not mean something broke. There is more in the step-by-step guide.
