CamHeard documentation

CamHeard syncs footage from several cameras and a recorder by sound and hands you a finished timeline in your editor. This describes every element of the window, every number and every export option.

The main CamHeard window after a sync: five cameras and a recorder on the timeline
A five-camera shoot (three cameras, a GoPro and a drone) with a multichannel recorder after the sync. 209 files, 10.1 hours of footage.

Where to start

Three steps

  1. Drop the shoot into the window. The whole shoot folder, or the separate folders of the cameras and the recorder. Files are neither copied nor changed.
  2. Press Sync. The app lays the material out on the timeline by itself. The more footage, the longer it takes.
  3. Export. The Export menu, then Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro. Open the file in your editor.
Animation: after Sync is pressed the clips move to their places on the timeline
Pressing Sync on a shoot with eight cameras and a recorder, 215 files. The clips land in place and the numbers appear in the status bar.
