Export options

The Export menu has two checkboxes. Both change only the exported file; your files on disk stay as they were.

Matching timecode

In the export every camera gets the same timecode that follows from the sync, instead of its own free-running one. In Premiere Pro a multicam sequence then assembles by timecode with no fixing at all.

• Applies to Premiere Pro only. For DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro the checkbox is skipped with a message, because those editors look for media by the file's timecode and would get everything offline.
• The choice is remembered between launches.

Split channels to mono

Every audio channel becomes its own mono track: L and R for stereo, 2, 3… for multichannel recorders. Camera sound stays linked to its video. The change is visible on the timeline right away, before the export.

• The checkbox is off on every launch.
• The channels of one recorder move between tracks together, as one track.

Unplaced clips in shooting order

This is not a checkbox in the menu but a switch above the timeline, and it changes the export too: what goes into the file is what is on screen. See Clips without proof.
